Following up from my last post on some amazing furniture makers on Etsy, this post will focus on the accompaniments that really make the furniture pop in a home – cushions, vases, bowls, art and other decorative accents. Without these, a room wouldn’t feel like a “home”. In fact if you prefer keeping the furniture simple and neutral (like I do) accessories are a great way to show your design style and personality! They’re also easy to change out as your taste evolves over time or even seasonally.

As I mentioned in my previous post, the great thing about working with an Etsy seller is you can customize the items to suit your space, budget and needs. With the holiday season around the corner these will make a great gift for someone too :). Check out the options I've selected below and let me know what you think in the comments!

1) Woollyclouds

This is a Ukraine based shop carrying an array of eco friendly organization baskets, rugs and placemats to name a few. I’m loving their decorative felt cushions which come in a variety of fun colors! The storage baskets/bins would be so fun for a kid’s bedroom because they’re soft and you can customize the size and color (what a neat baby shower gift). Really liking the unique placemat designs too.

2) SoniNoel

This is a Berlin based shop with some unique wood vases in lovely colors! There aren’t many options for the digital prints on the shop yet but I’m really liking the ones they do have, especially because you can download it instantly.

3) LivettesWallpaper

This shop has some incredible removable wallpapers in a wide variety of designs that I can appreciate (and they are PVC free)! I’m loving the Scandinavian Style and Bright & Modern collections so much I can’t decide which one’s my favorite! Also like the idea of a removable chalkboard wallpaper for a kid’s room or even a kitchen wall so you can jot down your grocery list.

4) Jenspringceramics

Jennifer is a ceramics artist with a flair for modern and functional pottery pieces based in USA. I’m loving the tactile feel of these carved leaf planters and the large fruit bowls! The best part is they are dishwasher safe :).

5) LightingBySara

This shop is based in California and features some beautiful hand carved light fixtures. I’m loving the simple wood materials and laser cut patterns. The night lights would be so fun for a kid’s bedroom :).

6) ParimaCreativeStudio

If you love abstract art like me then Parima Studio is a great Etsy shop to check out. Patricia’s inspiring story about how she became interested in painting at a young age is a must read! She has a variety of art prints available in various sizes and even square and rectangular formats. Really loving the animal prints like the Flamingo one below:
