To Boston & New Orleans!

I’ve had the opportunity to visit many exciting destinations within the USA this year! It began with Mendocino in the northern coast of California, followed by Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. My recent adventure led me to Boston and New Orleans to meet some dear friends! I had a fantastic time in both cities and here is my take on them...

New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans a.k.a. The Big Easy was enticing with it’s Voodoo magic stores, variety of unique architectural styles and local gastronomical delights inspired by European, African and Native American cuisine! Of course music was phenomenal at this birthplace of Jazz!

Spanish Style Architecture along the French Quarter

Voodoo Shop with magical solutions to every problem at the French Quarter

Federal Style Architecture at Tulane University

Romanesque Style Architecture at Tulane School of Architecture

This was my favorite discovery in New Orleans - a tree decorated with a door, windows and a beach chair!

Boston, Massachusetts

Boston, on the other hand is a perfect blend of old and new with it’s majestic federal and colonial buildings and excellent opportunities for higher education and innovation. It’s extremely well-connected by public transport (very similar to Singapore) and you can easily walk to most places in this small city!

A panoramic view of Boston's downtown and Charles River

A mix of architectural styles along Beacon Hill

Churches in Gothic Revival style around Newbury Street

Institute of Contemporary Art near the Waterfront

Can’t wait for my next adventure!
