This is the second part of a series focused on some incredible interior spaces in Singapore! If you missed out on Part 1 you can read about it here.
The space I’d like to introduce today is a restaurant called The Nautilus Project by Design Spirits. It’s located on the fourth level of ION Orchard – an award winning shopping mall known for it’s amorphous façade integrated with LED lights.
Fun fact: I was part of the lighting design team working on this mall soon after graduating so it’s always exciting for me to talk about it!

Known for some delectable seafood, The Nautilus Project exudes a calm and sophisticated atmosphere thanks to the undulating timber forms and warm lighting. I absolutely love the sweeping timber ribs which are beautiful but also create a visual separation between different areas. I’ve rarely seen the same material being used on vertical and horizontal surfaces of a space with such pleasant results.
Let me know what you think about the design of this restaurant below!
